Field gear from a tail gunner killed in action

This came in as part of a collection of early WWII field gear. This had a name and service number and, using a nightvision camera to help read the faded name, I was able to find that it belonged to a B-24 crewman who (along with the entire crew)  was killed when they were shot down over Holland in Feb. 1945.

One GI's WWII war booty

This sergeant not only brought home captured German items, but also extra US field gear, much it from early in the war.
