Musette bag named to KIA bomber crewman

This is named to a bomber crewman killed in action on 9 June 1944. He was an engineer on a B-24 from the 829th Bomb Squadron, 485th Bomb Group.

A Marine who fought on Guadalcanal brought home from the Pacific this interesting combination of a 1943 British machete scabbard and a 19th century Spanish machete/short sword. The Marine wrote his name, rank, serial number and Pacific duty stations on the back of the scabbard.
