US Constabulary School Album

An interesting find today is this photo album from the US Constabulary School which operated in post-WWII Germany. A US Army website says this was published circa 1948. Each photo is hand-printed and pasted into the album.

WWII P-51 Fighter Pilot - POW

I am preparing the FOR SALE listing for a massive collection of documents, photos, books. medals, flight gear and other items that belonged to a WWII fighter squadron commander who was shot down over Germany and spent time as a POW at Stalag Luft III. His POW diary - a Wartime Log - is included in the grouping. I have done more than 180 photographs and will take some time to get them organized into a listing but you can see this work in progress at www.hudsonmilitaria.com.

Teitzel Jones boots

The boots are now on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300247737681

Teitzel Jones Dehner started repairing boots for cavalrymen at Fort Riley in about 1875 and made custom riding boots for Army officers up until about 1875. These probably date from the late 1930's.
